Step 1
The Proper Coffee tube is a sealed extraction chamber — not a drip cone. Water passes through the full depth of grounds for complete, even extraction every time.

Step 2
1. Insert the glass tube into the frame until it sits securely.
2. Place the mesh filter into the bottom of the tube.
3. Thread the brew tip onto the bottom of the tube.
4. Place the assembled brewer on a scale, on top of your favorite mug.
Step 3
Grind fresh, heat your water, and set up your filter. Preparation is half the ritual.
Full-Bodied Cup
The integrated stainless steel mesh allows natural oils and fine particles through for a richer, more complex cup — similar to a French press but with more clarity and zero sediment.

Step 4
Pour 50g of water in a slow spiral over the grounds. Watch the CO₂ escape as the coffee bed expands — this is the bloom. Wait 30–45 seconds.
30–45 seconds
Blooming releases trapped CO₂ so water can extract evenly. Skip this step and you'll get an uneven, sour cup.
Step 5
Starting from the center, pour in slow concentric circles. Add water in stages — pour to 150g, let it drain slightly, then continue to 375g total. Every drop passes through the full depth of grounds.
